Who We Are
The Burlington Road Safety Committee (BRSC) was formed in 1994. We are based in
Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
We are a dynamic community group of citizens and individuals who represent community organizations.
We are part of a growing injury prevention movement that has developed across Ontario.
Our members represent the City of Burlington, the City of Burlington Transportation Services Department,
the Halton Regional Police Service and neighbourhood community consultation committees (CCCs),
the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, and the citizens of Burlington.
We are traffic professionals, police officers, elected officials, citizens,
and we are cyclists, pedestrians, drivers and passengers.

What We Do
Our mission is to join with other community members and agencies to promote road user safety
throughout the City of Burlington, on all of Burlington's roads and pathways, regardless of jurisdiction
(City or Region or Province).
We aim to reduce the number of personal injuries and deaths on Burlington's roads.
Our goals are:
- to promote effective public safety practices;
- to advocate for innovation in safety engineering and design; and
- to establish and maintain effective working partnerships to further our vision.
Our concerns include all road users of all ages, including cyclists, pedestrians, people in wheelchairs,
and motor vehicle drivers and their passengers.
